‘’Some English speaking pastors are just like those selling oil’’-Kumchacha

The Founder and Leader of Heaven’s Gate Ministry Prophet Nicholas Osei popularly known as Prophet Kumchacha has accused the English speaking pastors of duping people more than the Twi speaking ones.

According to him, while there are several fake men of God in the country, there are some that he believes have been truly called by God. Some Members of Parliament (MPs) are demanding action against pastors and churches preying on the gullibility of the public.

In a statement on the Floor on activities of churches, MP for Mfantsiman Constituency, Ekow Hayford said it was about time the State took drastic action against pastors who abuse people’s rights through a legislation and an independent body to manage church administration.

Backing his colleague, MP for Ablekuma Central, Ebenezer Nartey argued that some pastors in the country do not deserve to carry themselves as such.

He bemoaned how some pastors lure their members to purchase bottles of water for up to or more than GH? 2,000.00.

Sharing his thought on the matter on Ashh Fm’s National Agenda, Prophet Kumchacha revealed that, the said English pastors are also using launching of books, selling of wrist bands, T-shirts, and seminars to dupe church members in as much as the twi speaking pastors also sell oil to congregations.

He also condemned the practice where some so-called men of God use that as an avenue to milk and control people.

‘’ The English pastors in the name of book launching are extorting huge amount of money from church members and these monies are in dollars’’.

Prophet Kumchacha told host of the show Oderfour Qwasi Kay that, he is in support of the creation of a regulatory body to supervise the activities of religious groups in the country.

Kumchacha observed that: “These so- called respected English pastors are also undermining the integrity of the Christian faith.”
