Photos: MTN donates 600 Mathematics textbooks in Ashanti Region

Telecommunications Giant (MTN) has donated 600 Core mathematics textbooks to Two Senior High schools in Ashanti Region.

The Selected Schools that benefitted in this gesture were SIMMS Senior High School in the Kwabre East Municipal and Bonwire Senior High School in the Ejisu Municipality.

Both schools received 300copies each of this Mathematical text books. In totality 2000 Core mathematics textbooks were donated to six Senior High schools across Ghana.

The mathematics textbooks according to officials cost MTN GHC60, 000.

The Acting General Manager of MTN Northern Business District, Mr. Simon Amoh who led officials in the Ashanti region, said the main motive behind the donation is to help improve the standard of Mathematics students in the various schools.

He disclosed that, the two schools were selected out of many in the region who had requested for similar support from MTN.

Mr. Amoh stated he thinks this donation will therefore help liberate students of their stress in working out questions of core-maths as one of the most challenges student’s faces in our schools.

Heads of the two Schools (Bonwire Senior High and Technical Simms Senior High School) expressed their gratitude to the officials of MTN for the kind gesture.

Section of the Students also expressed gratefulness to MTN for their plans to enhance their mathematical studies.

In conclusion the Acting General Manager of MTN, Northern Business District Mr. Simon Amoh further urged both heads of the schools and students to keep the books in good shape for future purposes.
