To mark the 20th anniversary of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II as the Ashanti King, the management of the Telecommunications Giant MTN and Slip Entertainment jointly organised a music festival for the people of Kumasi and its environs.

It was a massive turn out at the second edition of the MTN Music Festival held at the Golden Bean Hotel in Kumasi.

The event was exemplified by artistes such as Okyeame Kwame, Rex Omar and Sarkodie performing to entertain their clientele from the Ashanti Region.

Okyeame Kwame, better known as the Rap Doctor, who opened the show was at his usual best as he dished out some of his old and new tracks and got the audience on their feet throughout his performance.

He performed from his repertoire of songs including songs from their debut album when they were known as Akyeame.

Rex Omar who was the part of the icons to perform also got most of the oldies and a few young patrons dancing with high life songs.

His mid tempo songs relaxed the ambiance at the auditorium down and relaxed the atmosphere which has been charged by the earlier performer.

When the third and final act: Sarkodie came on stage, it was fireworks throughout.

The event saw the excited audience who were clad in their decent colours dance their hearts out to contemporary and old music from the boss Sark nation.
