Ex-Hearts of Oak midfielder Laryea Kingston has made a passionate appeal to the supporters to back the team as they are on a mission to return to their glory days.

According to Kingston, all that the team needs is the love from the supporters and it won't be long before the Rainbow club rules the continent again.

The team have been on trophy drought since last winning the Ghana Premier League in 2009 but Kingston is optimistic the club is heading in the right direction and soon Hearts of Oak will return to winning ways.

“The team is very close to their heart. They should keep supporting the team. They should try and support the team as they were doing. I believe Hearts of Oak will come back to glory days very soon."

The appointment of Kim Grant as head coach has seen his side playing some exciting football in the offseason matches. The side have won an impressive 14 of their last 18matches, losing one and drawing 3.

Laryea Kingston donned the colours of the Rainbow club from 2001-2003 and moved to Europe before returning for his second stint playing just a season. (2012-2013)
