The Member of Parliament (NPP) for Nhyiaeso Constituency, Hon. Kennedy Kwasi Kankam, has donated an eleven-brand-new Kia taxicab to the constituency office of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

This, he said, was meant to enhance the party's activities in the area.

Handing the vehicle over in a ceremony at True Vine Hotel in Kumasi, he urged hard work, loyalty and sacrifice by the members and supporters, to help the NPP to retain political power.

At a ceremony to hand over the Taxicab to the constituency, the MP was grateful to the constituents for their support over the years and asked for their continuous support in the coming years.

The handover of the 11 taxicab to electoral area coordinators coincided with the previous donations of bus and opening of a new party office at the Santasi roundabout.

Hon. Kwasi Kankam said, the operation of taxi cab will help reduce the financial burden on the constituency especially donations to wedding, funeral and other social gathering. Dr. Francis Adomako, the Ashanti Regional Organizer, who was at the handing over ceremony said there was no doubt it, would greatly boost the operation of the party.

Dr. Adomako said, this donation is first of its kind in Ashanti Region for a Member of Parliament to donate 11 cabs to a constituency as gratis.

He reminded the party's faithful to eschew complacency and internal wrangling - they should do away with needless and costly distractions.

The Constituency Chairman, Mr. George Kofi Agyei, was grateful to the Hon. Kankam for his kind gesture and numerous supports to the party at the constituency. Mr. ‘Geokad’, called on the constituents to support the MP in his bid to develop the Nhyiaeso Constituency.

He said aside from the cars donation and the renting of an office space for the party, the MP had also given numerous scholarships to brilliant but needy students in the constituency and helped polling station executives set up businesses for themselves.
