Gov’t committed to ensuring safety of Ghanaians - Oppong Nkrumah

Government says it is investing in the security of the country to reduce lawlessness and other security-related issues.

Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, made this known when he appeared as a guest on Ashh Fm’s National Agenda hosted by Oderfour Qwasi Kay. T

his, he said, would build the trust and confidence in the security service to accelerate economic growth and development.

This and other domestic security issues like robbery, kidnapping and others, the Minister said the government is committed to eliminating.

The Information Minister expressed a conditional hope that the missing four Takoradi girls could be found.

The Minister base his hope on the grounds that the Police are robustly on grounds snooping for concrete information that would aid them arrest the entire culprit and also retrieve the missing girls.

He said the security of the country is paramount to the president and the government as well.

‘’ the government is committed to fighting against crime related issues in the country, hence disbursing funds and security apparatus to support the security agencies.

He added The Offoase Ayirebi MP said, the government would continue to develop the country as a peaceful democratic state where citizens can move to and fro without fear or intimidation.
